mUZIC takes control!

Summer is coming to an end—even for UZIC radio! We’ve had a busy summer, with several new projects in the works for the two radio stations run by the Odiolab, Podkast.FM and UZIC radio. Here are the announcements we can share right away:

  • After months of thoughts, ‘UZIC radio’ will become ‘mUZIC.radio’. Why the change? Because we’ve listened to you: while conducting several tests on the station’s programming—which we wanted to be as close to the dance floor as possible—since January 2026, we have concluded that most of listeners want to hear a music stream with a well-defined style. So we will offer on mUZIC.radio a selection of electronic music with a focus on minimal, deep house, and deep tech.
  • mUZIC.radio thus becomes Odiolab’s first themed radio station—but certainly not the last. Our association will continue to bring together podcasters and independent artists in Switzerland, with new initiatives currently processed. Be sure to read our next two articles to learn more!
  • To celebrate UZIC’s 25th anniversary (!2001–2026!), let’s embrace a fresh start with a new visual identity. Conveying both the radio station’s name and the full address for accessing music, this logo also reminds us why we do all this: for mUZIC, of course! Discover mUZIC.radio’s visual and musical identity on the pages listed at the end of this article.

The decision to focus on minimal, deep house, and deep tech is part of a broader project, which I’ll discuss in a future article. At Odiolab, themed radio stations will become a focus for both spoken-word and music podcasts. Whether it’s news or music, Switzerland is brimming with talent from Geneva to Zurich, and they’re just waiting to break out! In the longer term, our goal remains to highlight and promote talent—not only through the visibility that radio broadcast provides, but also by compensating artists and podcasters according to the “three-thirds principle” already explained.

From UZIC radio to mUZIC.radio

New music lineup, new routines: we’ve just switched to a new radio broadcasting software, and it’s true that we still need to get the hang of it. Please bear with us a little longer before we can offer our listeners and artists a well-structured radio program just the way we like it. A note to our DJs: thank you to everyone who has sent in sets over the past few weeks, and thank you for all the submissions to come. We’ll listen to every artist and get back to you!

What will become of “UZIC radio” in all of this? During internal discussions this summer, two members of Odiolab expressed a desire to “take over UZIC and (re)turn it into a techno radio station.” Nostalgia, you’ve got us! This wish is about to come true: all fans of pure techno—whether contemporary or retro—can tune in to the UZIC stream. While we wait for more news on this project, we’d love to hear your thoughts on mUZIC.radio—your feedback is welcome.
